
Alexandra Morgan Carrasco (American professional soccer player) plays as striker. She also captains San Diego Wave FC of National Women's Soccer League, the top division for women's soccer in United States. From 2018 until 2020, she was a co-captain of the US women's national team, along with Megan Rapinoe. [8][99 Morgan was drafted by the Western New York Flash at number one in the 2011 WPS Draft. She had completed her degree from Berkeley early. Morgan also played for California Golden Bears. She made her debut with the club and assisted the team win its league championship. Morgan was just 22 at the time was the youngest athlete in the national squad at the 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup, in which the team finished second. In the 123rd minute of the semi-final game against Canada during the 2012 London Olympics she scored the match-winning goals. She was second in the United States with 20 goals and 21 assists for 2012. This made her the youngest and sixth most prolific athlete in the nation to score 20 goals in one year. After being named U.S. Soccer Female Player of the Year, Morgan was also an FIFA World Player of the Award finalist. Morgan helped to help the United States win the title at the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cups. She was selected to the Dream Team in both tournaments. In the year 2019, Morgan won the Silver Boot.
