Anamaria Marinca bio
Anamaria Marina is a Romanian actress. She received the British Academy Television Award Best Actress award for her role in the Channel 4 film Sex Traffic. She is fluent in French, German English, and Romanian. Her mother was a violinist, and her father is an instructor at one of the top drama schools in Romania. She was awarded the Best Female Actor of the Year in 2000 Award in the young Actor Gala Mangalia. She was awarded the title of European Shooting Star by the European Film Promotion Board in 2008. She taught for 4 months in the University of Fine Arts Music and Drama George Enescu in Iasi. bAnamaria Marina is an Romanian actor born in Iasi Romania on 1 April 1978. She is an actress of Romanian heritage, Anamaria Marinca made her debut on the screen with the British-Canadian TV film Sex Traffic for which she won the British Academy Television Award for the Best Actress. Alongside her impressive performance in her maiden film, she is recognized for her performance in the Romanian art-film 4 Months 3 weeks as well as 2 Days which won her several laurels including winning the European Film Award for Best Actress London Film Critics. She was a Romanian actress in Cristian Mungiu's film 4 luni3 saptamani si 2 zile (four months three weeks and two three weeks and two days) and was presented with The Palme d'Or and other prizes during the 2007 Cannes Film Festival. She also appeared on the Francis Ford Coppola film Youth Without Youth. She also played Yasim Awar in the BBC's 5 episode The Last Enemy miniseries. Marinca played the role in the Romanian drama Boogie and in Oliver Hirschbiegel's critically acclaimed Five Minutes of Heaven. She later had a prominent part in the film Fury which featured her as an German woman whose name was Irma aunt to Emma.
